Frequently asked questions
The prerequisites for the online yoga teacher trainings is only that you must be passionate and inspired to create a community of likeminded women who want to help support and guide other mothers safely through the practice of yoga. We only ask that you are dedicated and feel compelled to answer this very sacred call.
It is helpful to have prior teaching experience but isnt necessary. Much of the course and the postures are referred to in sanskrit and english terminology. It’s certainly recommended to have a previous practice of the asana or postures as the course content will flow with more ease and understanding and be able to assimilate the information more quickly.
Upon successful completion, you are eligible to register with the yoga alliance as a registered yoga teacher (ryt), and will be certified to teach yoga internationally. Once you’ve met all the requirements of the 85 hr prenatal yoga teacher training you’ll receive the designation of rpyt (registered prenatal yoga teacher) with eligibility to register with yoga alliance.
We understand completely the demands and importance of family, tending to small children while juggling work and day-to-day demands. The online yoga teacher training courses allow you to work at your own pace by reviewing the videos and moving through the course manual and workbook at your own time. The live virtual covers most of what you need to know during class hours.
Yes, we offer the sacred birth prenatal yoga as a stand alone in a live virtual and also self-paced program. The yoga and conscious birthing curriculum is the same in both programs.
Yes it is! Once you are done our program you can call yourself a doula. If you choose to certify with dona you would have completed many of the pre-requisits for certification including birth educator course, breast feeding for doulas course and doula workshop. We guide you through the whole process during the program.
It really is up to you. Both of our programs are filled with practical tools to support conscious pregnancy and empowered birth. In our experience the doula certificate can help deepen your knowledge of the birthing journey and provide tools to support birthing families. The dual certification also opens many doors as a birth professional.
The sessions will also be recorded and available for you to reference after the session via teachable. If you are on the dona accredited track and you must miss due to an emergency or unexpected conflict, you must write us for approval. If you miss a session, you must watch it before our following live session to keep up with the pace of the program. Unapproved absences will result in a certificate of participation in lieu of the dona doula workshop certification.
We run different iteneraries for this course. Please check our schedule for more details.
